There are about 4.3 million people who have a disability in Australia. The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) offers more billions of dollars in support annually to an estimated 300,000+ Australians with permanent and severe disabilities. For many this would be the first time they receive the disability assistance they need.

NDIS and it support service providers can provide information and links to services in your neighbourhood for all people with disabilities, such as doctors, sports clubs, community groups, libraries and schools, as well as information about what support is offered by each state and territorial government.

Who is NDIS for?

The NDIS is available to any Australian who has a permanent and significant disability and is also under the age of 65.

Your own eligibility for NDIS support is determined through your application for the services – they decide whether or not you are able to have your own funding.

We can provide the supports you need as a registered NDIS provider.

NDIS - What does it mean?

National: The NDIS is being introduced progressively across all states and territories.
Disability: The NDIS provides support to eligible people with intellectual, physical, sensory, cognitive and psychosocial disability. Early intervention supports can also be provided for eligible people with disability or children with developmental delay.
Insurance: The NDIS gives all Australians peace of mind if they, their child or loved one is born with or acquires a permanent and significant disability, they will get the support they need.
Scheme: The NDIS is not a welfare system. The NDIS is designed to help people get the support they need so their skills and independence improve over time.

How do I apply?

You’ll have to go through their website if you haven’t already applied for your own NDIS support.

First of all, you will have to check whether you are qualifying for the NDIS, which can be accomplished by looking at the NDIS website’s eligibility checklist.

Once you review the checklist you can either complete your eligibility test and apply for funding.

What do I need to do after my funding is approved?

Once your funding has been approved it is important to have your support plan in place. Having a support plan in place will help you optimise your funding and get the most our of the NDIS.

You can either plan your own support services or you could contact us and our support coordination team will help you find the right services and manage your support plan.

Your NDIS Journey

A simplified process for you to follow

Step 1

Check your eligibility

Check the eligibility checklist on the NDIS website or call

1800 800 110 or email enquiries@ndis.gov.au to find out if you’re eligible.

Step 2

Make an access request

You can make a Verbal Access Request (VAR) or fill out an Access Request Form (ARF). You can do this by phone, email, or at an NDIS or Local Area Coordinator (LAC) office.

Step 3

Get your access decision

The NDIA will write to you to confirm your eligibility for the NDIS. If you’re eligible, you’ll be contacted to arrange a planning meeting.

Step 4

Plan your support

Contact us and we can help you get your individual plan set up. We give you the support and services that you agreed upon in your plan.
